1. An ALA Roundup
I am so tired. I also lost my cellphone. But still, the prevalent feeling from this past weekend is just profound gratitude for all of you out there who are reading and reblogging and talking to and WITH one another about libraries and librarianship. This is what makes Tumblr, and Tumblarians, magical.
Some things:
Set Phasers to Internet. Wowza, guys. That was…amazing. Check out what people were posting on Tumblr, on Twitter, and on Instagram. Hashtag is, you guessed it, #laserfingers.
Tumblarian 101: Tumblr for Libraries and Librarians. 8am! Monday morning! Packed room! You blew us all away, first with your ability to wake up early in the morning, but most of all with your great questions and smart tips. Check out what people had to say about it on Twitter and on Tumblr (hashtag is #TumblrALA). Check out the Powerpoint.
Tumblarian 101: A Starter Kit. I summarized a lot of the practical advice we discussed during the conversation starter. How to track tags, where to find the bookmarklet, etc.
The Library Is Open: A Look at Librarians and Tumblr. A broader look at the Tumblarian community on Tumblr and why it is important! (By me.)
In fin, you all are awesome. (Yes, I’m talking about you too, ALA Left Behind-ers.)
